This month, we released new updates in Varonis that help you find and protect sensitive data wherever it lives.
Our new functionality includes:
- Support for managed NoSQL databases in AWS and Azure
- Support for unmanaged NoSQL databases in the cloud and on-prem

Expanded support for NoSQL databases
We've extended Varonis' leading DSPM capabilities to support managed NoSQL databases, including:
- Azure Cosmos DB for NoSQL
- Azure Cosmos DB for MongoDB
- Amazon DocumentDB
With this coverage expansion, you can use Varonis to discover and classify sensitive data stored in these managed NoSQL databases, surface and automatically fix misconfigurations, identify exposure, and monitor activity to detect threats.
Varonis also now supports the discovery and classification of data in unmanaged MongoDB and MongoDB Atlas databases wherever they are deployed.

Remediate Salesforce Site guest exposure.
Misconfigured guest permissions on Salesforce Sites can expose sensitive data to the public. This means that any anonymous user with a link to the Site, or even malicious actors using open-source scanners, could access and exploit this data without requiring a direct link.
Varonis now identifies where sensitive Salesforce objects are exposed to unauthenticated guest users via public Sites and automatically fixes misconfigured guest user permissions that expose sensitive data publicly.
This enables organizations to quickly remediate public exposures without having to take down the Site itself and disrupt the customer experience.

Automated remediation enhancements in AWS
Varonis has expanded its automated remediation capabilities in AWS that enable organizations to automatically reduce their blast radius and attack surface by:
- Applying public access blocks to individual buckets
- Applying public access blocks at the account level
- Removing stale users, roles, and access keys in AWS
Automatically apply public access blocks to S3 buckets.
Automated remediation enhancements in Salesforce
Varonis expanded its automated remediation capabilities in Salesforce to reduce public exposure and sharing risk by:
- Remediating Salesforce public links
- Revoking the ability for users to create public Salesforce links
- Suspending stale and risky Salesforce users
Revoke the “create public link” permission from entitlements with only a few clicks.
Expanded database support
Varonis expanded its database and data warehouse support to discover and protect critical data stored in:
- Snowflake
- Amazon Redshift
- IBM DB2
Varonis also enables organizations to discover unmanaged shadow databases created without the security team’s knowledge across AWS environments.
See an overview of the databases in your environment from a single console.
Universal database connector
Our universal database connector enables organizations to extend Varonis' world-class data classification engine to any network-connected database hosted in the cloud or on-premises, including MongoDB, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
Microsoft 365 Copilot security
Varonis for Microsoft 365 Copilot provides capabilities to monitor Copilot data access in real time, detect abnormal Copilot interactions, and automatically limit sensitive data accessible by both humans and AI.
Varonis for Microsoft 365 Copilot includes:
- Copilot posture dashboards
- Copilot policy automation
- Copilot monitoring and forensics
- Copilot threat detection
Use our Copilot dashboard to answer questions like, "How many people are using Copilot?" or "Who are my Copilot super users?"
